Graduação em Matemática pela Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (2002), mestrado em Matemática pela Associação Instituto Nacional de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (2004) e doutorado em Matemática pela Associação Instituto Nacional de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (2008). Pós-doutorado na Université de Rennes. Atualmente é professor associado da Universidade Federal Fluminense. Tem experiência na área de Matemática, com ênfase em Geometria Algébrica e Teoria das Folheações.
